Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 26, 2026
Yinkstoop (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website https://yinkstoop.com (the “Site”), a personal webcomic featuring cozy and outrageous strips with characters like Yinkstoop and Otto.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to visitors and users of the Site. If you are a California
resident, please see the California Privacy Rights section below. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, please see the EEA/UK Privacy Rights section
below.
- Information We Collect
Automatically Collected Data (from all visitors):
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider collects standard server logs and analytics, including: approximate IP address, browser type/user agent, device type
(mobile/desktop), referring pages, pages viewed, time/date of access, and basic traffic patterns (e.g., country/region approximations). This helps us understand usage, improve the Site, and maintain security and performance. No personal identification is directly tied to this data unless you submit a form.
Information You Provide Voluntarily:
Contact Form: If you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message, or any other information you provide. Submissions are emailed directly to us; no entries are stored
in our database. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry.
Newsletter Subscriptions: The Site includes a link to our Substack newsletter subscription page. Clicking this redirects you to Substack, where you can subscribe. We do not collect or process subscription
data on the Site; all email addresses and related information are handled directly by Substack (see their privacy policy at https://substack.com/privacy).
Embedded Content and Links:
YouTube embeds (lazy-loaded for performance): When you interact with embedded videos, YouTube may collect data such as your IP address, browser information, and viewing activity, subject to YouTube’s privacy policy. We do not control or access this data.
Outbound links to YouTube, Substack, X (Twitter), Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, and Ko-fi: Clicking these links takes you off the Site. Any data collected — including newsletter subscriptions via Substack or
tips via Ko-fi — is handled by those platforms under their own policies. Ko-fi handles all payment details; we receive no card or banking information.
Cookies and Similar Technologies:
The Site uses minimal cookies: Functional cookies (if any), and cookies set by embedded YouTube content when you interact with a video. We do not use additional tracking cookies. No
advertising cookies or third-party trackers beyond video embeds are used. You can manage cookies via your browser settings.
- How We Use Your Information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site (analytics)
- Respond to contact form inquiries
- Detect and prevent security issues
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it except as described above (e.g., with our hosting provider for analytics, or if required by law).
- Third-Party Services
- YouTube (Google): For embedded videos. See https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Substack: For newsletter subscriptions. See https://substack.com/privacy
- X (Twitter), Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, Ko-fi: When you click outbound links. See their respective privacy policies.
4. Data Retention
We retain contact form emails only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. Substack data is retained and managed by Substack.
- Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect the Site and any data processed through it. However, no system is completely secure.
- Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that we have inadvertently done so, we will delete it promptly.
- California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
While we may not meet the thresholds that technically require CCPA compliance for businesses, we extend the following rights to California residents as a courtesy:

- EEA/UK Privacy Rights (GDPR/UK GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent law applies. The data controller is Yinkstoop, reachable at joey@yinkstoop.com. Our lawful basis for
